Practicum Program

Are you a student counsellor completing a practicum and masters program? Are you looking for additional practicum hours or have a special interest in working with the client issue of complex trauma, youth and/or relationships?
As Clinical Supervisors, we assume responsibility for your practice as you complete the experiential portion of your training. You are in the session, we are supporting you from behind-the-scenes. Heather and Nina believe everyone is unique and it’s our goal to foster a deeper connection within, to who you inherently are, as a therapist.
At Scott Sheere Wellness we offer 2 practicum placements for students looking for supplemental practicum hours and/or niched clinical experience within a private practice.
The bulk of this practicum will focus on individual & relationship counselling, with additional practicum opportunities (depending on availability) for the following:
Group Therapy Facilitation: Trauma Recovery Skills & Stabilization Group and Perinatal Mental Health Group (we try to run a spring & fall cohort for both groups each year)
Workshop Facilitation: Preventative Mental Health/Stress Management workshop, in the Corporate Sector
At Scott Sheere Wellness, Heather and Nina will provide both individual supervision and group supervision.
Placement #1: Port Moody with Nina Sheere
Office Location: 2226 St Johns St, Port Moody BC
Days Available: To be determined prior to hire.
*students are expected to offer in-person and online sessions

Clients Served: Adults, Teens & Couples
Clinical Focus: Anxiety/Depression, Stress, Life Transitions, Concurrent Disorders, Trauma, Relational Issues

Placement #2: Vancouver with Heather Scott
Office Locations: 198 E 21st Ave
Days Available: Wednesdays & Thursdays in-office; flexible days online
*students are expected to offer in-person and online sessions
Supervisor: Heather Scott, MCP, RCC, RCC-ACS Candidate
Clients Served: Adults 18+, primarily women (both trans & cis)
Clinical Focus: Complex trauma, ptsd, dissociative experience, relational issues & life transition
